Former Polokwane City FC goalkeeper Harold Ndlovu has resurfaced at the University of Limpopo football team as part of their technical team.
Ndlovu has been without a club since parting ways with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Venda FC in 2023.
The 35-year-old briefly trained with Black Leopards a few months ago but couldn’t secure a contract.
HAS HAROLD NDLOVU CALLED HIS FOOTBALL CAREER QUITS FOR THE SECOND TIME?
Ndlovu initially retired from football in 2019, citing frustrations brought by the sport as the main reason. At the time, the Limpopo-born shot stopper was playing for Polokwane City FC.
“My plan is to forget about football because at the moment it is frustrating me, I am not happy, and it’s changing the person that I am,” Ndlovu told FARPost at the time.

However, after a few months, Ndlovu was back in the professional set-up and signed for now-defunct TS Sporting in the second-tier league.
He later returned to ‘Rise and Shine’ before his second exit and joined Venda FC. He has not played for any professional club since 2023.
FORMER POLOKWANE CITY KEEPER PART OF UNIVERSITY OF LIMPOPO TEAM
FARPost spotted Ndlovu with the University of Limpopo football team during the 20206 Varsity Cup. Despite the poor run in the Varsity Cup, Ndlovu was seen issuing instructions on the bench for the duration of the tournament.
This publication has established that Ndlovu has been offered the role of an assistant coach at the University, where he is also a graduate with a degree in Law. Beyond his duties with the university’s senior team, Ndlovu actively oversees the development setup.
They played a total of seven matches in total, recording one draw and six defeats to finish the campaign with one point.
