AmaZulu FC make decision on Ntsako Makhubela

AmaZulu FC have finally made a decision on trialist Ntsako Makhubela, who was under assessment at the club.

The former Moroka Swallows midfielder started training with the Durban-based side four weeks ago before the start of the second round of the DStv Premiership.

Two weeks ago, he stopped training with the club but returned a few days later with coach Pablo Franco Martin admitting that he was interested in adding him to the squad.

“Yeah, we have made it, but coaches just can’t make some of the decisions. Some decisions are for other people,” said Martin when asked about Makhubela.

“And from there, they are the ones who need to negotiate or make the final call. Let’s see what happens. I can’t tell you right now; you already know that he’s training with us.

“We are also trying to pay attention to the market because we have the need to reinforce ourselves.”

WHAT DECISION AMAZULU MADE ON NTSAKO MAKHUBELA

FARPost has learnt that Makhubela won’t be signing with AmaZulu and he has returned to Johannesburg. It is uncertain what was the stumbling block to his potential.

The 29-year-old parted ways with the Dube Birds in January when the Soweto-based outfit released several players after a disciplinary action as a result of players’ strike.

Makhubela was a regular for the David Mogashoa-owned side. He made 13 appearances in the first round, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

Before he trained with AmaZulu, he was also on the radar of Sekhukhune United, as previously reported.

He has joined a number of players who remain clubless after leaving Swallows. These include Andile Jali, Dumisani Zuma, Bongani Sam, Lantshene Phalane, Wandisile Letlabika, and others.
