Botswana international happy to be back for Downs Ladies

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies shot-stopper Sedilame Boseja has pledged to do her best to help her side to maintain their good run in the 2022 Hollywoodbets Super League campaign following her return from a lengthy injury.

‘Tsontso’, as she’s affectionately known, guarded the goals when Banyana Ba Style thrashed Durban Ladies 5-0 at the King Zwelithini Stadium over the weekend.

The Botswana goalie joined the African champions in May 2021, after stints with Double Action and Bloemfontein Celtic.

Unfortunately, she suffered a serious injury during her first training session with Downs Ladies, which required an operation.

Boseja, who enjoyed a winning return managed to keep a clean sheet on her debut for the red hot Brazilians and she was delighted with her return to full fitness.

“It feels good to be back playing football with the team after a very long time off due to the serious injury I sustained which happened very early into my Sundowns career,” said Boseja.

“I feel blessed to have incredible teammates, coaches, and physios around me because they have been extremely helpful during my lengthy injury layoff. It was not an easy period for me, but I am glad that those injury days are over and I am happy to be back in action.

“To keep a clean sheet on my return made it even sweeter for me.”
