Chiefs, Parker go separate ways
Kaizer Chiefs have opted not to renew Bernard Parker’s contract when it expires at the end of June 2022.
Parker joined Amakhosi back in 2011 from the Eredivisie side, FC Twente.
Ever since joining the Soweto giants he played 359 games, weighed in 42 assists and contributed 62 goals in the process.
The veteran frontman managed to win two league titles, MTN8 trophy and Nedbank Cup with the club.
“Kaizer Chiefs will sadly not renew Bernard Parker’s contract when it expires at the end of June 2022. Parker, a bona fide Kaizer Chiefs legend, will leave the Club he has served with distinction for 11 years,” read the club’s statement.
“Thank you for your great service and dedication to the Club, ‘Hond’. You remain a true legend.”
