Chippa, Baroka settle for a draw

Chippa United and Baroka have played out a 2-all draw in the DStv Premiership tie at Nelson Mandela Bay.

The showpiece got off to a cagey start, as both sides struggled to find any real momentum.

The half-time whistle blew with the scoreline still 0-0.

In the second stanza, the match took a different direction with the Chilli Boys opening the scoring in the 66th minute through Riaan Hanamub.

Just nine minutes after the restart, Bakgaga levelled matters by Dan Ndlovu.

As the half progressed, the complexion of the game changed as both sides were testing each other’s goals.

In the 83rd minute, Baroka took the lead with a goal from Akana Chauke.

When we thought Baroka got everything covered, Thokozani Sekotlong scored an equaliser in the stoppage time of the second half.

In the end, however, this was another game to add to the list of meetings that ended in stalemate.
