DStv Premiership giants Kaizer Chiefs on Thursday morning announced a contract extension, which will stretch until 2026.
Amakhosi announced the Kaizer Chiefs Village as they revealed their sponsorship extension with Medshield Medical Scheme.
The sponsorship has been extended to a further three years, meaning it will end in 2026.
Present during the announcement was Amakhosi Marketing and Commercial Director Jessica Motaung.

According to Motaung, this partnership benefits both Chiefs and their corporate partners.
“In these tough times, clubs may find it difficult to secure sponsors, and I must say we are very proud to have partnered, and we’re committed. Medshield is one of those,” said Motaung.
“We are committed to the health and wellness of our players’ health and wellness on our staff. We are very excited to see this relationship flourish, which started in 2017.
“Thank you to Medshield for having confidence in Chiefs, believing in Chiefs’ brand, Chiefs’ family, our supporters and our corporate partners to take this partnership because this opportunity is not for Chiefs only, but for the rest of our partners as well.”
IMPORTANCE OF MEDSHIELD SPONSORSHIP TO CHIEFS
Medshield Executive Marketing and Cooperate Communications Sitsolo Sihau outlined the importance of keeping this relationship.
“We are excited to continue the partnership with Kaizer Chiefs Football Club. Football is an integral part of South Africa’s landscape.
“Amakhosi have played a significant role in the development of many talented athletes. Not only Medshield has benefited from accessing soccer fans. We have been able to access the entire football fraternity.
