FA to investigate after Man United’s Elanga hit by object

The Football Association (FA) is investigating the matter of Manchester United forward Anthony Elanga who was hit by an object from the stands in their Premier League clash against Leeds United on Sunday.

The teenager was hit by a missile as they celebrated Fred’s 70th-minute goal in their 4-2 victory at Elland Road.

However, the Swedish international was hurt by the object – which hit his head and received medical attention but wasn’t substituted as a result of the incident.

A total of nine arrests were made for offences which include the throwing of missiles and breach of banning order, confirmed the West Yorkshire Police personnel.

Elanga has played 23 games, contributed seven goals and weighed in three assists across all competitions for the Red Devils in the current campaign.
