Burnley FC fans react to Lyle Foster’s performance
Burnley FC fans have reacted to Lyle Foster’s performance, in his third start, against Rotherham United, on Tuesday, 18 April.
The Bafana Bafana striker has had a challenging start to his English football career since he signed for Championship side Burnley in January.
Before Burnley faced Rotherham on Tuesday, Foster had made nine appearances in the league, making it to the starting line-up twice.
Despite Foster’s below-par start to life at Burnley, coach Vincent Kompany has shown faith in the former Orlando Pirates development product.
However, doubts and wonder started to bubble up around the club’s fan base.
The club’s faithful are seemingly questioning Foster’s ability to perform at the highest level as Burnley has been promoted back to the Premier League next season.
In all his appearances for the club, the 22-year-old only has a goal and one assist.
