Stellenbosch striker Iqraam Rayners has revealed the reasons behind his hot form since his return to the club.
The 27-year-old rejoined Stellies for his second stint in January from SuperSport United In just the 10 games that he has played, Rayners has scored 13 goals with three assists.
He became the first Stellenbosch player to win the Player of the Month accolade during the month of February/March.
Prior to his return to Stellenbosch, Rayners had last scored a league goal in May 2022.

Speaking to Radio 2000 Sports Show Game On, Rayners says the rich vein of form is nothing new, especially at Stellies.
“Yes, I did before when I was still in the first division with Stellenbosch. I scored 19 goals in 30 league games,” he said.
“Me and coach Steve Barker have always had a good understanding. We always understand each other and the technical team. They have always believed in me, and I am just happy to give them my best and to help the team. That’s all that matters to me.
“No one did not expect it [to hit the ground running fast]. When I arrived from SuperSport in January, I set myself a target that I just wanted to score 10 goals in five months,” he explained.
“That was my target, but now maybe I can push for more league goals. Maybe by the end of the season, I can have at least 11 or 12 goals or maybe more than that because I only have three games left.”
FAMILIAR ROLE AT STELLENBOSCH
Rayners also believes the role that he has been given at the club has made it easy for him to settle fast.
“I am playing more of a different role at Stellenbosch, and the team knows how to use me, actually. I am happy with my form, and I am happy for the team because we are in a good log position now.”
