Mathias had also worked for clubs such as FC Nordsjælland, Aarhus GF and Lyngby BK.
MAMELODI SUNDOWNS MAKES ADDITION TO TECHNICAL TEAM
“His knowledge, experience and work ethic will assist in getting the first team to the next level and make a clear strategy for physical training and injury prevention throughout the entire club, ” said Sporting Director Flemming Berg.
Zangenberg’s role will be working across the club to align the methodology of physical training of the Senior Team, Ladies Team and Academy teams.
MASANDAWANA DOMINANCE
Zangenberg will be expected to hit the ground running with the Men’s who just recently won their sixth DStv Premiership title. Downs have already broken the record for the earliest title win [24] matches.
Amongst some of the records the club can still break this season is the league points record which is currently at 71 points. Masandawana are currently on 60 with 18 points still to play for. Besides these two, Sundowns can still break the Best goal difference, fewer goals conceded and the biggest title-winning margin.
The Women’s side on the other hand will be chasing their fourth consecutive Hollywoodbets Super League title. Sundowns have dominated both Men’s and Women’s domestic football in recent times. They have both won the CAF Champions League title once each.
The Men’s side will be in DStv Premiership action on Sunday against Swallows while the Ladies side will face City Lads on Saturday.
