Ramovic sends a special message to Sundowns after title triumph

TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic insists that he has nothing against Mamelodi Sundowns but just one individual as he sends a message of congratulations to the club for winning the DStv Premiership title.

Sundowns secured their seventh league title in a row after a 5-1 win over rivals Kaizer Chiefs on Thursday night at FNB Stadium.

Ramovic has been embroiled in a heated exchange of words with his counterpart, Rulani Mokwena, in recent times.

The latest incident was after a league match between the two sides on Monday.

During a post-match interview with SuperSport TV, Mokwena claimed he had received information before the match that Galaxy players had been instructed by Ramovic to target Bongani Zungu. This is because of a similar incident last year that led to veteran striker Bernard Parker suffering a broken leg.

However, Galaxy did not take kindly to the accusations and demanded that Mokwena provides proof.

But on Friday, the Galaxy coach sent a message of congratulations to Sundowns for the league title.

“I have to of course congratulate the team. It’s a beautiful club, they have unbelievable and great supporters,” said Ramovic.

“Because when you talk again it’s just an issue between one person and me. It has nothing to do with the club and its supporters or anything.”

“When you talk about what they have achieved, the players and the club it’s just unbelievable. A lot of respect for the club. It is one of the best if not the best teams in Africa because they have the financial power and have fantastic supporters,” continued Ramovic.

“Everything is beautiful and we should also be happy to have this kind of club in our league that we can also try to improve and try to challenge them and that is our goal”.
