Jamie Webber on radar of DStv Premiership club

Sekhukhune United midfielder Jamie Webber is firmly on the radar of a DStv Premiership club, FARPost has learnt.

The 26-year-old has been at Babina Noko for less than just a season after signing on a free transfer at the beginning of the campaign from SuperSport United. He has one year left in his contract with the Limpopo club having penned a two-year deal.

The highly-rated midfielder has made 35 appearances, scoring five goals and registering five assists. However, it appears, his future with the club is uncertain.

The last two games that Sekhukhune played against Mamelodi Sundowns and TS Galaxy saw Webber pulled out before half-time.

And this understandably left him in great displeasure, particularly when it occurred for the second consecutive time against the Rockets where he was subbed off in the 37th minute.

The midfielder’s relationship with the club appears to have cooled, leaving his position at Sekhukhune precarious heading to the June transfer window.

WHICH DSTV PREMIERSHIP IS INTERESTED IN JAMIE WEBBER?

This situation presents Cape Town City with an opportune moment to acquire the midfielder.

For City, the move would fill the void recently left by Thato Mokeke. He departed at the beginning of the second round ending a five-year stay at the club. The left-footer is now plying his trade at Cape Town Spurs after joining in April.
