Lesotho set to host Cote d’Ivoire at Dobsonville Stadium for Afcon qualifiers
The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) has confirmed that their Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier tie against Cote d’Ivoire will be played in South Africa at Dobsonville Stadium.
Likuena will battle it out with the Elephants on Thursday, 9 June 2022 while their opening match of Group H against Comoros in Moroni takes place on June 3.
Lesotho has been forced to take its international home games abroad after Setsoto Stadium was banned from hosting international matches by the Caf last year due to its bad condition.
According to reports, Caf provided LeFA with a list of available and qualified venues in South Africa, and LeFA has since resolved to take the team’s home games to Dobsonville with Orlando Stadium as an alternative venue.
