Sabelo Ndzinisa’s promise to Mbabane Highlanders ahead of Royal AM clash

Sabelo Ndzinisa, who recently left the club to join Green Mamba, has made a promise ahead of the Eswatini giants’ Mbabane Highlanders match against Royal AM on Sunday.

The two clubs clash at the Somhlolo Stadium in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The man who scored 23 goals as Highlanders pushed Royal Leopards to the wire last season will not be part of their lineup today.

Ndzinisa, popularly known as Sikhali [weapon], crossed the floor to join Green Mamba, a move that broke the hearts of the Highlanders’ faithful.

He also had a stint in South Africa at second-tier league side Mbombela United.

AHEAD OF THEIR CRUCIAL TIE, NDZINISA HAS MADE A PROMISE

“Yeah, I’ve left Highlanders, but I’ll support my former teammates in the stands [at Somhlolo Stadium]. I believe they have what it takes to win the match,” he told FARPost in a telephonic interview.

Ezimnyama Ngenkani have vowed to fill up the stadium, something he believes will spur the team on.

His former teammate Peter Dlamini, who is expected to captain the team on Sunday, admitted it would be difficult to fill the void he left.

“I think everybody knows the qualities of Sikhali, we miss him, but at the end of the day, it’s life. Life goes on.

“We don’t consider that because we have many players who can fill that void.

“Of course, it’s a big void to fill, but we are confident in our players,” he said.

Meanwhile, Royal AM co-coach Abram Nteo said that while they had not watched their opponents this season, they have an idea of how they play.

“We have a few points about how they play and behave. We have prepared well,” he said.

He refused to underestimate the threat their opponents possess. He insists they will take the game to them despite being away from home.
