DStv Premiership side Supersport United have suspended Zimbabwean attacking midfielder Kudakwashe Mahachi following accusations of abusing his four-year-old son which left him severely injured.
Earlier this week, disturbing images of Mahachi’s son surfaced and went viral on the internet.
“SuperSport United FC has become aware of the serious allegations levelled against our player, Kudakwashe Mahachi. The club has suspended the player from all club football activities with immediate effect. He has been advised to attend to his family & the allegations against him,” Supersport posted on their Twitter account.
“The matter is subject to judicial processes. The club will make no further comment at this time.”
The 28-year-old has made only eight appearances for Matsatsantsa this season in the league providing one assist
