Lamptey switches international allegiance
Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku has that Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey has completed his international switch allegiance to represent Ghana.
According to reports, the fullback and his father travelled to Ghana, where they met Black Stars coach Otto Addo and the rest of the technical staff last week.
Lamptey, who was born in England had represented them at youth levels but has not featured for the senior side which made him eligible to represent the Black Stars.
The 21-year-old will be hoping to be selected to play in the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Ghana have already qualified for the competition and will face Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay in their group.
Meanwhile, Inaki Williams, Stephan Ambrosius, Ransford Yeboah and Patric Pfeiffer are now available for selection.
