A Banyana Banyana star has signed a contract extension in Europe.
Veteran defender Noko Matlou has extended her stay at Spanish Primera Division side SD Eibar by another year.
The 36-year-old joined Eibar in October 2020 and went on to play 40 league games to help the club remain in the top-flight for two seasons.
Matlou mainly plays as a right centre back for Eibar, but she has also been deployed in the defensive midfield role several times.
On the international stage, the stalwart has represented South Africa 164 times and netted 64 goals.
She is part of the current Banyana squad that is set to do battle in the 2022 Africa Women Cup of Nations in Morocco next month.
