BCM Stars announce more signings

Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League outfit BCM Stars have confirmed the acquisitions of Kayden Francis, Sikhusele Joyi and Papama Mtyelwa.

Francis, 18, played for the DStv Premiership side Chippa United. Born in Port Elizabeth, he joined the city’s local top-flight side in 2019 where the midfielder became the club’s youngest-ever player upon making his debut in November the following year.

Meanwhile, midfielder Joyi and Tyongwana (left-wing) join BCM from Chippa United’s DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team. The duo previously represented Mighty Eagles FC that competes in the Provincial SAB League.

The side has made a total number of four signings in the second round following the signing of former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Thamsanqa Sangweni.

The trio will be expected to help the club qualify for the Provincial Inter Stream Playoffs and ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs.

BCM currently sit second in Stream B table with 24 points, just one point behind stream leaders Sinenkani FC.

The club’s next assignment will be against Matta Milan on Saturday, 26 February at Idutywa Stadium with the kick-off set for 15:00.
