Daine Klate returns to Orlando seeking first win  

Former Orlando Pirates winger Daine Klate returns to Orlando Stadium, where he enjoyed success as a player hoping to upset his former club in a DStv Premiership encounter.

Pirates welcome Klate’s Chippa United at the Orlando Stadium, hoping to bounce back to winning ways in the league.Pirates played a 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch in Cape Town during a midweek clash.

That draw followed a 1-0 win over Swallows in their season’s opening match.They play a Chilli Boys side smarting from a painful defeat at the hands of Royal AM.

Interestingly, they are under the tutelage of a man who achieved so much success with the Buccaneers – Daine Klate.

Having collected a single point, they would want to pick maximum points from Pirates to avoid another relegation scare come end of the season.

Against Stellies, newly signed midfielder Miguel Timm made his debut for the club, with Vincent Pule getting a run. He had not played a domestic league game since October last year.

The Chippa Mpengesi-owned side, on the other hand, handed a debut to young Khanyisile Mayo, who will be eager to get a run against Bucs.

However, Klate will have to plan to play without winger Jemondre Dickens, who is nursing a knee injury.Bafana Bafana midfielder Goodman Mosele will be expected to drive the Bucs from the middle of the park.

At the same time, Ronald Pfumbidzai may continue on the left side of central defence, where Klate assigned him in their opening game against SuperSport.

The two sides have met 18 times in the Premiership, and the Soweto giants have enjoyed more wins. 13 of those encounters have ended in victories for Bucs while the visitors have won three.

The Bucs have scored 30 and conceded 13 in those encounters. While Pirates coach Jose Riveiro is still trying out combinations, he will be hoping they do so grinding results.
