Vasco Da Gama of the Western Cape will battle it out with Eastern Cape’s City Lads Ladies in the Sasol League National Championships finals on Sunday, 13 February at King Zwelithini Stadium.
Following both teams’ hard-fought victories today, that simply means they have clinched promotion to the Hollywoodbets Super League.
City Lads qualified to the finals after beating KwaZulu-Natal’s Lindelani Ladies 3-2 in the first semi-final of the day.
Meanwhile, Vasco Da Gama defeated Croesus Ladies of Gauteng Province 4-3 on penalties in the second semi-final after the showdown ended 1-all in the regulation time.
The promotion of both sides will increase the number of teams in the Super League to 16 teams in the 2022 season.
