Ex-Chiefs target continues soaring high in Europe

South African winger Kobamelo Kodisang continues to prove his doubters wrong with his consistent fine form for his Portuguese side, Moreirense FC.

The talented player began his life in the Liga Portugal 2 SABSEG, the second-highest division of the Portuguese football league system with a bang, having earned himself a third Man of the Match accolade in just six appearances.

Kodisang helped Moreirense get a penalty, provided an assist and scored a sublime goal for his side in their 3-0 win over CD Trofense on Sunday, all of that in 89 minutes that he lasted in the showdown.

HIS STATS…

Overall, the Bafana Bafana star had made six straight starts, scored three goals, won two penalties for the team which were converted and weighed in one assist in the process.

The 23-year-old footballer joined the Portuguese club last month from SC Braga B on a loan deal, after being heavily linked with a move to one of the Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs.

The former Bidvest Wits man also received praises from his agent Mike Makaab for his recent stellar displays.

“Really proud of this young man’s determination to succeed,” Tweeted Makaab on his official Twitter account.

In an interview with FARPost earlier last month, the player noted that he hopes to make the best of the opportunity afforded to him, and one can finally say that Kodisang is living by his own words.

“It’s a move that needed to happen, and I just want to take things one step at a time in my career,” he explained.

“I hope there are bigger things in store in the future. All I want to do is give my best and hope my best is good enough for me and the club.”

Kodisang’s excellent one-on-one dribbles with great speed and ability to bang goals make him stand out in the field of play.
