FIFA to uplift Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila’s transfer ban?

The FIFA transfer ban imposed on Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila could soon be uplifted, according to club boss Masala Mulaudzi.

The National First Division side TTM have been banned from signing new players for three consecutive transfer window periods, starting with the current window.

This is after their former goalkeeper Edmore Sibanda took the club to FIFA for monies owed to him.

TTM were ordered to pay the former Zimbabwean international over R 600 000 or face the ban, but the club failed to meet the financial obligations, subsequent to the ban.

FARPost has been made to believe that the club has now made the R 600 000 payment to the legal team representing the player.

The next step would now be for the player representatives to inform FIFA who would then write to SAFA and the PSL to clear the club from registering new players.

TRANSFER BAN A PRIORITY FOR THE CLUB

When asked the latest regarding the ban, club owner Masala Mulaudzi told this publication that sorting out the ban was top of their priorities.

“The ban is not an unusual consequence in the football space. It has happened before, we are not the first team [to be banned],”

“It is still going to happen to other clubs again. The ban is something that we are prioritising to uplift it. We are working on it day and night.

“Our target was to have the ban uplifted last week because it’s long overdue. Your question on how soon, the answer is that it’s long overdue,” he said.

FIRST MATCH AT THEIR NEW HOME

As reported by FARPost this week, the club is set to officially relocate to Mangaung as of February 2023. This publication has reliably been informed that the match against Platinum City Rovers scheduled for Saturday, 4 February will be hosted in the Free State.

This is pending the approval form the Premier Soccer League executive committee who are set to sit this week.
