Hugo Marques comes face to face with Cape Town City

Petro de Luanda goalkeeper Hugo Marques will face his former Cape Town City teammates for the first time after his unexpected departure in August.

Assistant coach Luís Garcia says the Angolans are not thinking too much about the game against the Citizens.

The coach said they have been focusing on domestic league assignments over the past weeks before switching to the CAF Champions League first round encounter in Cape Town.

He said this after Petro de Luanda beat Santa Rita 3-0 at Estádio Municipal 4 de Janeiro in the Girabola league match on Sunday.

“No. They are two different competitions; we are not yet thinking about Cape Town City. First Santa Rita and after the game with Santa Rita, then let’s think about the next game. We are not pressured,” he said.
