Judas Moseamedi stops training with Maritzburg United
Judas Moseamedi has stopped training with his former club Maritzburg United.
Moseamedi has been a free agent since parting ways with DStv Premiership side Stellenbosch last month on a ‘mutual consent’.
The Limpopo-born forward was training with Maritzburg after being released by Stellies but he has since plugged plugs on his trials with the KZN-based side.
This publication has it in good authority that Moseamedi is now training alone as he weighs his options on his next destination.
Mike Makaab, who is the agent of Moseamedi confirmed that his client is no longer being assessed by The Team of Choice.
AGENT LOOKING FOR BEST DEAL FOR HIS CLIENT
“Judas Moseamedi is no longer training with Maritzburg United,” Makaab told FARPost.
“So we are still looking for options and hoping to get him a suitable move probably soon enough.
“But I can confirm that he’s no longer at Maritzburg United, we working on something for him,” Maakab added.
The 28-year-old bulky striker struggled for game-time at Stellies this season as he only made six appearances for the club.
He came on as a second-half substitute in all the six matches played under Steve Barker, failing to make any real contribution.
With Moseamedi seemingly finding it a bit hard to land a new deal, it remains to be seen which club the former Cape Town City goal-poacher will join.
Meanwhile, the Farouk Kadodia-owned club have had a poor start to the 2022/23 DStv Premiership campaign.
A form that prompted the club hierarchy to pull the trigger on John Maduka, who started the season at the helm as a head coach.
The 2018 Nedbank Cup finalists have since appointed Fadlu Davids as a successor of the discarded Maduka.
Maritzburg have only won three games, drawing five and losing seven times after 15 games played so far.
They are currently positioned 15th on the league table with 14 points, just one point away from the relegation zone.
