What All Stars coach Badela thinks of Sundowns loanees
All Stars coach Sinethemba Badela has revealed what he thinks of Mamelodi Sundowns loanees Promise Mkhuma and Keletso Makgalwa.
Mkhuma and Makgalwa are currently on loan at Motsepe Foundation Championship side All Stars under the tutelage of Sinethemba Badela.
Badela described the Sundowns pair as quality but insists that All Stars will be patient with their progress as they recently joined the club.
Mkhuma and Makgalwa completed loan moves to All Stars during the 2023 January transfer window.
Their impact has already been felt with the 22-year-old Promise Mkhuma scoring a stunning free kick during All Stars’ controversial defeat to Polokwane City on Wednesday in a league game.
BADELA COMMENTS ON MKHUMA AND MAKGALWA
“No, they have a lot of quality. They are good players and will help the team,” Badela told reporters.
“They are not yet ready to finish the games, but you could see Promise played about 60 minutes. He gave his best, and he was running and scored a very good goal.
“So we just have to be patient with him [Mkhuma], he will help the team moving forward,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Makgalwa recently returned from an unsuccessful loan spell at DStv Premiership side TS Galaxy. He only made five appearances under coach Sead Ramović.
Mkhuma, on the other hand, spent some time training with Swallows, hoping to secure a loan move. But their transfer ban at the time prevented any possibility of a move.
ALL STARS DECENT SEASON IN MOTSEPE FOUNDATION CHAMPIONSHIP
All Stars has had a decent season since their relocation from Western Cape to Gauteng under Badela.
This is despite the club not having a secured home venue and rotating between Pretoria and Johannesburg.
They currently sit at position seven on the log with 27 points, that’s 13 points behind log leaders Polokwane City. They are also 13 points above bottom placed Black Leopards.
All Stars will remain in Limpopo for their next league match. They have a trip to Venda for an encounter with Venda Football Academy at Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday, 25 February.
