Margeman points out why SuperSport switch is proving worthwhile

Grant Margerman, who is on loan at SuperSport United from Mamelodi Sundowns, has pointed out why the switch is proving worthwhile.

Margerman was sent out on loan to get game time and reboot his confidence after a challenging spell at Chloorkop.

He has fit in perfectly in Gavin Hunt’s system, also weighing in with goals and assists this season.

MARGERMAN SPEAKS…

The former Ajax Cape Town star has told FARPost why his time at Matsatsantsa is vital in his career.

“I came here to obviously get a bit more game time and get my confidence levels up and also to get myself to a level I want to be in,” the 24-year-old told this publication.

The talented midfielder has featured in all of the Tshwane-based outfit’s league games this campaign, except for the one against his parent club Sundowns.

While at it, SuperSport have been on an upward trajectory after a poor start.

Currently, the side sit in third place after 10 games into the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season with 17 points out of a possible 30.

“I think for these first games I’ve played in; it’s been going well because I started all the games in the league except the Sundowns game that I didn’t play.

“All the games that I’ve been available for selection, I’ve been starting, so for me, that has been good,” he added.

The biggest confidence booster for the Capetonian is getting his name on the scoresheet twice. He was on target against Kaizer Chiefs and Royal AM.

“Also, getting my name on the score sheet has been a massive boost for the team and me. Scoring goals is one of my attributes I love more,” revealed the former Swallows man.

SuperSport will look to continue their winning momentum when they visit Stellenbosch on Tuesday.

In the last five games, Gavin Hunt’s charges have lost once to Chiefs [2-1], with the other results being wins.
