Modiba eyeing Bafana return
Mamelodi Sundowns star Aubrey Modiba says he is working hard to be recalled to Bafana squad again. The Limpopo-born player played a pivotal role for Masandawana in the just ended incredible season after they secured a treble in the PSL.
The 26-year-old last represented the national team in November 2019 when Englishman Stuart Baxter was at the helm.
“I want to keep on winning trophies, keep on playing regularly and obviously Bafana is on the cards because everyone wants to represent their national team at highest level,” Modiba told FARPost.
“So far so good [I’m enjoying playing], but I think I can still add other things and keep pushing till I reach my limit, for now I can only learn from this.”
‘Postman’ as known in the field further revealed to FARPost his wish in football.
“The journey has been great, I don’t want to lie because this is what I wanted when I started playing soccer at a very early age in the PSL, hopefully one day play I can play abroad,” he concluded.
