Namibian U20 duo headlines Kakamas’ new recruits

Northern Cape ABC Motsepe League outfit Kakamas Juventus have bolstered their squad with five new players, including a Namibian duo ahead of the 2022/23 season.

The five are the Namibian Under 20 pair of Ngatangwe Ruhaka and Richard Tsuseb, Ricardo Aaron, Marco Slinger and Ben-John Kasimbingue.

Ruhaka joins Kakamas after an incredible campaign with his previous side, Tornado FC. The African Stars Academy graduate played in the 2018 edition of the Skorpion Zinc Cup for the Omaheke region.

He later moved to Karibib and played in the Namibian Newspaper Cup in 2018 and 2019. The talented goal-minder also played in the NSC Youth Games; now, he is the current U20 shot-stopper for his country.

His fellow countryman Tsuseb forms part of the South African football third-tier club from Outjo Football Academy in Namibia. His new team describes him as an outstanding playmaker, goalscorer and assist king.

The midfielder was part of the Namibian U20 national team that participated in the U20 championship at AFCON 2021 in Mauritania.

Aaron, who spent two years competing in the National First Division for Hungry Lions, returns to the club as one of the side’s legendary goal-scoring machine.

The frontman will be hoping to better his fortunes at his former club and help them to challenge for the league title, and possibly gain promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Slinger, who plays as a forward, also singed from the second-tier side Hungry Lions. He will be expected to be a key member of the Kakamas squad, given his extensive experience in Motsepe Foundation.

The 22-year-old striker’s selfless space creation and a showreel of tricks will play a significant role in helping the club do well in the upcoming campaign.

Meanwhile, Kasimbingue joins the club from rivals Kakamas Sundowns. He is a player who boasts strong physical and athletic abilities.

His tactical perfection, creativity, and versatility make him exceptionally valuable to his new side.

Kakamas completed the last term in the fifth position in Stream A of the provincial ABC League with 24 points after 16 games.
