Pirates’ Ntsako Makhubela joins Arrows on loan

DStv Premiership side Golden Arrows have announced the signing of Ntsako Makhubela on loan from Orlando Pirates.

The midfielder returns to Abafana Bes’thende after he fell short of expectations at the Buccaneers.

Makhubela had joined the Soweto giants in August 2021 after an impressive stint with the KwaZulu-Natal outfit.

“We welcome back Ntsako Neverdie Makhubela on loan from Orlando Pirates,” the club announced on their social media platforms.

Earlier this season, the multiple reports suggested that Makhubela is the one who pushed for the loan to Arrows after abandoning hope of securing a place in the club’s regular line up.

He hasn’t featured for the club since coach Jose Riveiro took the reins in June.

During his stay at Parktown, he has made only 16 appearances.

Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has explained the situation of talented attacking midfielder Ntsako Makhubela at the club.

HOW LONG IS THE LOAN DEAL WITH ARROWS

It’s still unclear how long Makhubela’s loan deal with Arrows is as the club didn’t reveal when it announced his return.

FARPost got hold of the club’s official Mqo Thusi to find out and he said they can’t publicly reveal the details of the deal.

“It’s just a loan (laughed),” Thusi said.

“It’s just a loan deal to Arrows, but we can’t tell you how long it is.”

This prompts questions whether there are possibilities of the player to sign a permanent contract with Arrows.

MAKHUBELA HOPING TO GET BACK TO HIS OLD SELF

Makhubela will be hoping to get back to his old self and play regularly as he used to before he switched to Johannesburg.

The 28-year-old amassed more 50 appearances and scored three goals during his first stint at Arrows.
