Regina Mogolola relishes tough First Touch Ladies test
Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies defender Regina Mogolola reckons that the Hollywoodbets Super League matchday 10 against First Touch Ladies will not be a walk in the park.
While Mogolola acknowledged that her team are the favourite to win the encounter, she has also emphasised they will not let that get into their heads because it will be eleven against eleven in the field of play.
Banyana Ba Style comes into this game in a high mood after thrashing the league contenders JVW FC 4-2 over the weekend. The victory saw the red hot Brazilians open up a four-point gap on top of the table.
However, the Limpopo-born footballer is anticipating a tough battle as the African champions prepare to take on First Touch at the Baroka Village this afternoon (15:00).
“I am very excited ahead of the game because it’s like a homecoming for me. Baroka Village is a venue I know very well, and playing there again means so much to me,” Mogolola told the club’s official site.
“The game against First Touch Ladies will not be an easy one because the league has been quite unpredictable this campaign. There have been some shocking results since the season began. I hope we continue our good run of form at a stadium I call home.
“Since we lost that game against UWC, we have been ruthless on both ends of the pitch. We showed our class against the unbeaten teams before they faced us. The aim on Wednesday is to pick maximum points against First Touch Ladies, but we know they will approach the game with a mindset of halting our impressive run of form. We are optimistic that we will take our chances.”
