Sold out affair for Sundowns and Chiefs

Tickets for the DStv Premiership match between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Versfeld have been sold out.

Over 40 000 were made available for the 50 000-capacity venue and all have been purchased with 24 hours remaining before kickoff.

The gates at the stadium are set to open from 11:00 in the morning.

“There will be Food and Beverages on sale in the family and beer Garden located at the D Field on the Eastern Side of the Stadium. The family garden which will be open from 11:00 will accommodate the whole family, with entertainment and jumping castles for the kids,” the club said in a statement released on Friday.

Sundowns and Chiefs come into the match from two different results during the week. Amakhosi walloped Maritzburg United 3-0 while Masandawana suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at home to TS galaxy.

Downs co-coach Rhulani Mokwena insists they know what they will be facing come Saturday but they have all the necessities to deal with their rivals.

“We know we have a very difficult game for us on Saturday but we love difficult games and we have the necessary experience to be able to deal with difficult matches,” Mokwena told journalists ahead of the clash.

“They think they are a big team and rightfully so and big teams never change their profile. They adapt to certain situations but never change their profile.”

Meanwhile, Chiefs mentor Arthur Zwane insists they fear no one.

“We don’t have fear, we fear no one. If you are not going to go into that game and make mistakes then you are not going to improve. We still have a long way to go, this will be our third game so if we are now thinking about losing games, then we are going to lose. But we are going to express ourselves and take the game to them.”
