TSHABALALA SPEAKS…
The club’s head coach Jerry Tshabalala reckons that his players have learnt a lot from different competitions this season.
“It has been a very long but interesting season for us across the various competitions we participated in,” ‘Kappa’, as he is popularly known, told Sundowns’ media.
“Regardless of the results in the COSAFA Qualifiers and CAF Women’s Champions League, I am proud of how my charges displayed their bravery on countless occasions this season.
“It was a campaign that saw us play over 35 games, and on certain occasions, we had to deal with injuries and fatigue.
“Nevertheless, lessons have been learned, and we cannot wait to restrategize and go again next season.”
Shifting the focus to today’s game, Tshabalala stated that they are going for a kill in their last match of the campaign.
“Everyone in camp is eager to wrap up the campaign in style. However, we haven’t lost sight of how good Richmond has been all season,” he added.
“They have a very good attack with vibrant midfielders who are capable of dominating games. We saw how they easily dismantled Thunderbirds in their last fixture, hence, we are going to be vigilant to avoid any form of complacency.
“We know they will also be looking to cause an upset, but we will be ready to fight for maximum points in our last game of the season.”
