TTM accuse Cheslyn Jampies of being a fat, ill-disciplined opportunist
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) have lashed out at former player Cheslyn Jampies accusing him of being an opportunist who came to the club unfit and came to training smelling of alcohol.
Jampies and TTM have been embroiled in a tug-of-war since the player left the club recently.
The 32-year-old has gone on record saying the club owes him his salary. Jampies has revealed that his car was repossessed by the bank as there was no salary coming from the club.
This also resulted in the two parties terminating their contract after only a few months in the team.
NELUKAU NOT IMPRESSED
Speaking to FARPost on Friday, head coach Lucky Nelukau claims Jampies had discipline issues; hence they had to let him go.
“That’s why he is no longer a soccer player because he plays with his mouth,” said Nelukau. “When he came to TTM, he just used his name to the President (Masala Mulaudzi). We were surprised when he arrived because the boy is fat like nobody’s business.
“He is ill-disciplined, he is always asking coaches questions, and he comes to training sessions smelling alcohol. You know when you are a soccer player, and you are no longer playing, or you can no longer make it. You start talking, going to the media and so on,” said Nelukau.
“A player who still has a future won’t go to the media. Remember when he came here, he was talking too much he was supposed to get his salary on a pro-rata basis. He talked too much, calling the president like he is the head coach. He is the only person who didn’t get the pro-rata but got the full salary.
“So the problem with players these days is that they talk too much, they are ill-disciplined and so forth. Remember FARPost, if the player is not disciplined, to some of us, he will not play because I love the team more than them. So I don’t want them to sink this team.”
WHAT JAMPIES SAYS
FARPost reached out to Cheslyn Jampies on the allegations made against him. But the veteran defender rubbished the claims and promised legal action against the club.
“Bunch of lies, but it’s OK,” Jampies responded to FARPost. “I’m a grown man. I know how we try to save our jobs. Did they ever test me for alcohol?”
“It should by regulation be recorded on record, and for me, this is a clear defamation of character which my lawyer will look into. This is sad, really, really sad. I cry for the truth, big man. But it will never be given because jobs need to be saved.” he said.
