Vilakazi upbeat Arrows will finish strong

Golden Arrows interim coach Vusimuzi Vilakazi says he is happy with the team’s progress since he took charge. In the last two games, Abafana Bes’thende have collected four points.

Vilakazi’s troops added to Kaizer Chiefs’ woes after winning 2-1 on Wednesday to hand Amakhosi their third straight defeat.

“I’m impressed with how the boys played. We had planned for the game throughout the week, trying to deal with Kaizer Chiefs’ strengths and capitalise on their weaknesses. I think we did very well, even though we started very slow, which resulted in us conceding an early goal,” Vilakazi told the media.

“We were positive; we doubled the effort second half to come back and get the victory. We were dominating the especially second half. We managed to handle Khama Billiat, Leonardo Castro and Keagan Dolly.”

The Durban based club next faces relegation-threatened Baroka aiming to make it two wins in two.

“We are happy and ready for Baroka; we are going on a positive note to get three points,” Vilakazi concluded.
