Vincent Kobola not panicking over his future at Baroka

Baroka head coach Vincent Kobola insists there is no need to be worried about his future at the club at this moment.

Bakgaga have only won once in their last six matches in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Their recent results have also seen them languish at the bottom half of the table after 10 matches.

Baroka are also 14 points behind log leaders Polokwane City. When asked if he was starting to get worried about his role as coach, Kobola said in football you need to be prepared for any eventuality.

VINCENT KOBOLA ON HIS FUTURE

“No, I am not concerned about my future,” he told reporters after the 2-1 defeat by Casric Stars on Wednesday.

“In football, whatever happens, happens. At the end of the day, I put 100% into work. Whatever happens, will happen. For me, I am not that worried about my future.

“Obviously as we speak now there is no chance to beef up anywhere. But during the January window period we definitely have to bring in five players, try and see where they can take us,” he said.

ON BOUNCING BACK FROM DEFEAT

“It’s part of football, the players need to understand that if you don’t give more. The opponent will work more than you and get the results. But they are a good team, they really played well. But I must say I just need to motivate the players and remind them that they can do this.”

Baroka will travel to La Masia in their last match before the FIFA World Cup break. They will face rivals Polokwane City in their first game of 2023, before hosting Cape Town Spurs at the Global Village.

Their other two fixtures will be against promotion chancers in the University of Pretoria and JDR Stars.
