Foster also expressed his gratitude of working alongside with Manchester City legend Kompany, who is the head coach of Burnley.

Kompany is considered as one of the Premier League’s greatest centre-backs.

“For me, it is a huge honour to be able to learn from someone as great as the coach [Vincent Kompany],” he added.

“I’m honoured to come here everyday to learn and have the opportunity to work with these legends.”

Many football fanatics in South Africa have described Foster as Bafana’s present and future. This is because of the fact that he is still only 22 years old and already making big moves overseas.

Foster will be expected to be vital to Hugo Broos’ side, as they will be pushing to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON].

The AFCON tournament is due to be held Ivory Coast.
