Why MamKhize believes Andile Mpisane deserves to play for Royal AM   

Royal AM boss Shauwn ‘MamKhize’ Mkhize has explained why she believes her son Andile Mpisane deserves to play in SA’s topflight.

‘MamKhize’ is convinced that Andile Mpisane is talented enough to play the beautiful game at the highest level.

Mpisane is always the talk of the town every time he features, be it in the senior DStv Premiership team or the DStv Diski Challenge [DDC] side.

Some have raised the question of whether he is part of the Royal AM playing squads on merit or because he is the son’s owner and chairman of the club.

A video also recently went viral where Mpisane appeared to have been complaining about being taken off during a DDC match by coach Khabo Zondo.

When asked during a radio interview on Metro FM Sports show, Sports Night Amplified, if Mpisane would have played for Royal AM if he was not her son, ‘MamKhize’ spoke about how talented Mpisane is and nearly signed a professional contract with AmaZulu.

ANDILE MPISANE PLAYED FOR AMAZULU BEFORE

“He would have [played professional] on one condition if I didn’t stop him. Andile played for AmaZulu long before Royal AM, during his development stages,” revealed MamKhize.

“He wouldn’t have played for AmaZulu development if he didn’t have talent. If you look at the people that scout players for AmaZulu, they only look for talent.

“Andile at his youngest age was already playing for AmaZulu. So, he would have played professionally because he would have grown for AmaZulu. Maybe he would have been an AmaZulu player, not a Royal AM player,” she said.

MAMKHIZE’S ROYAL AM PLANS STILL ON TRACK

Mkhize also revealed during the same show that her three-year plan is still on track.

“I don’t want Royal AM just to add numbers,” she said. I want Royal AM to win the league sometime, and that’s my dream.

“I had a three-year plan, yes [John] Maduka disturbed me [When he resigned previously], and the CEO [Sinky Mnisi] disturbed me.

“But the three-year plan is still on track. The three-year plan was simple when I came here. I wanted to save the status, second year I wanted to end in the top seven, and third year I wanted to compete.”
