Agent clarifies Grant Margeman’s rare ‘two-year’ loan spell at SuperSport
The agent of Mamelodi Sundowns loanee Grant Margeman has clarified the midfielder’s rare “two-year” loan spell with SuperSport United.
Margeman joined Matsatsantsa on a season-long loan at the beginning of the current DStv Premiership season.
He signed for Gavin Hunt’s side along with other Downs teammates, Thabang Sibanyoni and Ricardo Goss.
When announcing his move, SuperSport stated that Margeman joined the Swanky Boys “on a two-year loan deal”.
However, his agent Ntobatsi Masegela, the Managing Director of Footballerz Sports Marketing has stated that Margeman signed a one-year loan deal with an option to extend for a further year with SuperSport.
Now, it’s up to the two Tshwane clubs to discuss the future of the Ajax Cape Town academy graduate for the next season.

“It’s one year and an option [to extend for a further year] if SuperSport wants to keep him,” Masegela told FARPost.
Meanwhile, rumours suggest that Sundowns are keen to recall the player from loan to add to their star-studded midfield.
Masegela says he’s yet to discuss with the clubs what’s next for Margeman. However, he wants to see the 24-year-old playing regularly.
“You understand the rumours [of Margeman’s possibility to return to Sundowns] happening around. He truly is doing what he has to be doing.
“Everything is left to the two clubs to discuss what’s happening.
“The most important thing is we want to see Grant playing week in and week out, bettering his chances of playing in Bafana Bafana. That’s the most important thing
“The other stuff, we’ll see what happens at the end of the season.
“But my goal is to make sure that my boy is playing. Whether at Sundowns or at SuperSport, or any other club.
“So, whatever happens, it’ll be decided upon by the two clubs on what’s happening.
“But I’m yet to still meet the clubs,” he added.
