Chiefs star Sekgota outlines elements of his game he want to improve

Kaizer Chiefs star winger Kgaogelo Sekgota outlines the elements of his game he want to improve.

Sekgota has been a live wire in the Chiefs attack but he feels his game can still improve and get ever better.

“Obviously I don’t have a goal, which is something that I need,” Sekgota told the media.

“I would like to have an assist every game, I would like to learn more things and with time it’s all possible.

“I was close to getting a goal in the last match but unfortunately it didn’t happen.

“And obviously game by game, different situations in a football pitch, good chances and half chances in a match hopefully it will come,” he added.

Sekgota joined the Glamour Boys at the start of last season from Swallows but failed to find the back of the net nor contribute assists in 19 matches played in all competitions.

In the current campaign, the speedy winger has been crucial with his ability to take on defenders and the explosive runs into the box.

Sekgota has featured in nine games in the league and also has two games in the MTN8 with only one assist to his name.

After a slow start to the 2022/23 campaign under Arthur Zwane, Chiefs have seemingly turned the corner with back-to-back victories against Swallows and Stellenbosch.

The Soweto giants have managed five wins, two draws while losing in three occasions and they are lying fourth on the league table after 10 games played so far.

Amakhosi will take on Chippa United at Moses Mabhida stadium on Saturday with a hope of making it three wins in a row. Kick off is at 17:30.
