SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt maintains they are still taking it one game at a time despite jumping to second place on the DStv Premiership log.
United beat Marumo Gallants 1-0 at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Friday evening. The win was the seventh of the season for SuperSport United, who are now eight points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. They have both played 13 matches.

Speaking to the media after the match, Hunt insists it will take some time to build a solid team.
“We are trying to avoid relegation. That’s the first thing that you need to do. Finding 30 points,” he said.
“Then you can go from there. There are a lot of new players here, Grant (Margeman), (Siphesihle) Ndlovu and one or two youngsters coming up, so sometimes it takes a bit of time.
“I was only here two weeks before the start of the season, so it took a lot of time trying to adopt what I would have wanted, but I think we will get better. We just need to try to take it one game at a time.”

“Yeah, I know what we need and what we don’t need. But that is not always doable but let’s see. I have got a few things that we got to do, so let’s see what happens.”

“Some of the players call him uncle because he is so old. They call him uncle Bash. So, he is the uncle in the team, and he scores a winner, so credit to him.
“He is a model professional and has won us two games this season already. The winner against Maritzburg and tonight. I don’t know what he was doing there, he should never be there, but he showed the strikers what they should be doing. Great professional.”
