How Arthur Zwane could use Bimenyimana, Dove against AmaZulu

The Kaizer Chiefs’ foreign duo of Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana and Edmilson Dove is available for selection after receiving their work permits, and Arthur Zwane has hinted how he could use them.

The two have had to sit it out while waiting for Home Affairs to finalise their work permits, but they could feature when Chiefs welcome AmaZulu for the DStv Premiership clash at the FNB Stadium at 5:30pm.

“I think we are ready for that. We have been preparing for it and have all our players available, including those waiting for their work permits,” Zwane told Chiefs’ website.

Bimenyimana’s height and physique

He added that their availability gives them an advantage in varying their style. “We now have better options in attack and final third entry with the addition of Caleb’s height and physique.

The 24-year-old forward, Bimenyimana, is reportedly strong on the ball, and the 1.94m striker has the potential to penetrate the tightest defences with his quick feet and dribbling ability.

“Taller, able to shoot with both feet with power, quick and comfortable in dribbling, good in aerial balls, this makes him a formidable striker,” a Burundian football journalist Armand Nisabwe recently told FARPost.

In attack, he will have to connect with another new signing Ashley du Preez, Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly.

Dove brings good balance on the left

“Dove is also available, which will give us good balance on the left, whereas a natural left footer can play left centre-back and connect better with the midfield. Now it’s a case of chemistry and understanding more than anything else.”

After Sifiso Hlanti’s performance last weekend, Dove may not walk into the left-back position. However, his advantage is his ability to play in the centre of defence.

His availability comes as a relief with Reeve Frosler ruled out for four weeks due to injury.
