Hunt: We need a few windows….

SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt says his side need a few transfer windows to be back to it’s origin and start competing with big teams.

The Tshwane outfit has few senior players; therefore, it is hugely dominated by youngsters, and so far this season, they have been impressive.

Chiefs were better equipped in terms of quality players on the night. It worked in their favour winning 2-1 against SuperSport.

Hunt is impressed by how his squad has started the season, but insists the team will only get better after a few seasons when they bring in new players.

By that time, the youngsters would also have matured and gained some experience in the game.

IT IS ABOUT WINDOWS, SAYS HUNT

“We got a team that needs a few windows and we need to work on them. It’s not about coaching in football, it’s about windows, that’s what football is all about then you can do things,” Hunt told the media.

“We need another window that’s for sure to try trade. We got two [players] now that will help us tremendously, we got to try get a few.

“I always work a year in advance obviously, that sustains a football club. You can’t let the team get old altogether, that’s important. You can’t let positions get old, you always need to be refreshing.

Hunt further revealed that he is happy with the youngsters he has assembled for this season. He tips them for success in their football careers.

“The squad I got I’m happy with; young ones. We got a very young group and they will go far. Sometimes you need a little bit of more time, with time you can produce and do better.

“We got a good crop, but they need a little bit of time, they weren’t good as they are tonight [Saturday], but they have been good for us so far. We just have to keep on working on them.

As the window closes in the next coming days, Hunt revealed that their business in the market in done.

This is mainly due to budget and lack of funds at the club. Their last acquisition was Siphesihle Ndlovu, on loan from Orlando Pirates.
