It’s game on, says Vincent Kobola

Baroka’s 3-1 win over Supersport United at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday has set up what will be a mouth-watering final day of the DStv Premiership relegation battle.

Bakgaga, who are bottom of the log, will take on Maritzburg United who are also not yet safe from facing the chop.

On the other hand, Swallows who are equal on 25 points with Baroka will face Kaizer Chiefs in a must win clash at FNB Stadium.

The Limpopo club will be gunning for nothing less than maximum points and hope either Swallows or TS Galaxy, who travel to Chippa United, drop points in their last matches to stand any chance of saving their status.

“I am excited and very proud of the players. For us we can always say it’s game on,” said Kobola.

“We are going to the Maritzburg game, it’s a must win again, I told you guys it’s all Cup finals.

“Obviously it’s not in our hands as you can say. We have to rely on the other results on the other side but for us, we start preparing for Maritzburg,” he said.

Kobola once again raised his concern about the side conceding late goals.

“It was disappointing (to concede late goals) because we worked on it the whole week. Defending and scoring and my strikers came to the party but the defenders let us down but what can you do. You take the three points and run.”
