Malesela sends a warning to PSL teams

Marumo Gallants head coach Dan Malesela has sent a stern warning to other Premier Soccer League (PSL) teams of the danger of playing TS Galaxy on their own turf.

Maselesa states that Galaxy are a tricky side to take on at home and hopes other clubs are taking notes.

This comes after their hard-fought 1-0 win over the Rockets in a DStv Premiership encounter on Tuesday night at Mbombela Stadium, Nelspruit.

Malesela recently completed his shock move back to Bahlabane Ba Ntwa after parting ways with the side at the end of last campaign.

This was his first game on his return to the club and has already gotten fruitful results following the Limpopo outfit’s string of poor results.

MALESELA’S STERN WARNING…

“I’m not sure how many teams are going to come here and survive,” said Malesela.

“To be honest, TS Galaxy is a very difficult team to play against.

“At some stage, they really forced us to defend very deep in our half. It was a very tough game against a team that really gave us a run for our money.

“Sometimes if you haven’t won for quite some time this will happen because obviously, the players will panic.”

Meanwhile, the 57-year-old mentor was happy with how his side absorbed the pressure from their opponent and controlled the game.

“However, I’m happy with the discipline of the players and the work rate they have put in.

“We can only move forward from here,” he added.

Royal AM co-coach Abram Nteo has revealed the last conversation he had with Dan Malesela before he left the club.

As things stand, Marumo are placed 14th on the log standings with nine points from nine outings.

The club will play their next league game against the Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday, 19 October at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
