Mdantsane sets new record at CT City

Cape Town City attacking midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane has become the club’s all-time highest goalscorer with 18 goals from 69 appearances.

Mdantsane surpassed Kermit Erasmus’ record of 17 goals as the club’s top scorer.

The 27-year-old footballer joined the Citizens back in January 2020 after being released by Baroka FC.

His scoring touch certainly hasn’t deserted him in the 2021/22 season, either.

The Leandra-born star offers his club an extra attacking dimension that is especially notable when he is missing and he has become Eric Tinker’s most trusted and consistent attacking option, having proved that he is a rare source of good cheer to the in-form Cape club.

One can say Mdantsane is a prototype for the modern attacking midfielder as he shoulders responsibility and he rarely disappoints.
