More departures at Kaizer Chiefs
Kaizer Chiefs have announced the departure of Serbian forward Samir Nurkovic.
Nurkovic’s contract was coming to an end in June 2022 and the club opted not to renew.
His departure ends a three-year relationship with the club.
The 29-year-old began his Chiefs career like a house on fire, scoring 14 goals in his maiden season.
But injuries saw his struggle to regain his form and netted only four goals in the past two seasons.
Chiefs also announced they have part ways with Lebogang Manyama and Lazarous Kambole. Manyama will be out of contract at the end of June and is free to find a new team.
“The attacking midfielder from Alexandra township joined Amakhosi in August 2018 from Turkish side Konyaspor and played 95 matches, scoring on 15 occasions. All the best Lebo,” the club said on its social media platforms.
