Ngoma admits pressure is mounting at SuperSport
SuperSport United winger Aubrey Ngoma admits that pressure is mounting on the Tshwane side after a difficult start to the season.
Matsatsantsa have collected only one point in three DStv Premiership matches following a stalemate and two consecutive defeats.
Pressure to register the first win is mounting, and it will be difficult. The Tshwane outfit have three difficult games ahead, against Orlando Pirates and Richards Bay in the league, before facing rival Mamelodi Sundowns in MTN8 Quarterfinals.
“We were already under pressure. In the first game, we wanted to get a good start which we didn’t get. Pressure will always mount, we’ve played three games, and we haven’t collected maximum points,” Ngoma told the media.
“Pressure is there for us to turn things around. We have ourselves to do that. There is nobody else that can get us out of the situation. We have to put in the work every day, and hopefully, we can turn the corner around as quick as possible.”
“We need to embrace the challenge, embrace the games that are coming. These are three very difficult games [against Orlando Pirates, Richards Bay and Mamelodi Sundowns], but if we apply ourselves and our minds, we can get victories in both games. A game of football starts at 0-0, and it’s 11 vs 11. We have to match our opponents.”
Moving to the next!

The former Orlando Pirates winger stated out positives from their last matches despite results not coming their way.
“We created a lot of chances. In almost all the games we played, we could have buried the game’s first half. We create the first clear-cut chance, but we don’t score. When we create the first chance, we have to score. We need work also on keeping clean sheets. Strong championship teams are built on clean sheets.”
“I think we have the quality to get the victory if we can earn the right to play and compete against the top teams that we are going to face. Once we get that first win, I think we’ll get the momentum, and things will start falling into place.”
