One element that impressed Romain Folz ahead of Sekhukhune clash
AmaZulu FC head coach Romain Folz has revealed one element that has impressed him as they are preparing to face Sekhukhune United on New Year’s eve in the DStv Premiership.
Folz is still new at the KZN outfit, having linked with the club in October to replace Brandon Truter.
He has been in charge of five DStv Premiership matches and two MTN8 matches, including the final, which they lost with a narrow one-nil margin against Orlando Pirates.
WHAT HAS IMPRESSED ROMAIN FOLZ
AmaZulu players have shown commitment ahead of the match against Sekhukhune United
“Everything is going according to the plan, and I’m happy with the work ethic,” Folz told the club’s media department.
“I’m happy with the commitment shown by the guys during the [FIFA World Cup] break. It’s the only positive thing now, and we want to keep it that way.”
Folz further shared some good news regarding injuries in the team. He stated that soon the team will be injury free.
Two weeks ago, Usuthu confirmed that Bonginkosi Ntuli, who had suffered a long-term injury, had recovered and is now back at training with the rest of the squad.
“We had a few injuries to monitor, and Bonginkosi Ntuli is one of them, but he’s slowly coming and starting to train a little bit. So we have to be cautious and smart with how we deal with players coming back from injury.
“Everyone is coming back, it is just a matter of time before the team is injury-free and everyone is back to full fitness,” Folz added.
Folz will be eyeing his second victory in the DStv Premiership, whilst Brandon Truter is eyeing a good start at Sekhukhune United in his first match in charge against his former club.
Kickoff at Peter Mokaba Stadium is at 17:30.
