PSL announce date for Nedbank Cup round of 16 draw

Premier Soccer League have announced the date for the Nedbank Cup round of 16 draw with 15 clubs having booked spots in the next round.

The draw will be held on Wednesday, 15 February at 6 pm and will be broadcast live on SuperSport.

Only one spot is yet to be taken with Polokwane City and Chippa United set to battle for it on Tuesday at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

NEDBANK CUP LAST 32 RESULTS SO FAR

Tuesday, 7 February

The competition kicked-off on Tuesday when the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns and last season’s finalists Marumo Gallants secured their places in the next round.

Masandawana defeated Richards Bay 3-2 while Marumo Gallants overpowered Magesi FC 3-1.

Wednesday, 8 February

The following day, Sekhukhune United hammered the third-tier side Liver brothers 6-0.

Meanwhile, Dondol Stars performed a miracle when they slayed the giant, knocking out SuperSport with a 2-1 scoreline.

Friday, 10 February

Cape Town Spurs secured a spot in the next stage after downing Baroka FC 3-0. In the other fixture of the day, Kaizer Chiefs defeated Maritzburg 2-0 to keep their hopes for a trophy alive.

Saturday, 11 February

On Saturday, Black Cross suffered a 2-1 defeat to Venda Academy while Mpheni beat Clarewood 3-0.

Stellenbosch, who were spirited on the day, thumped Swallows 3-0 and dedicated their victory to their fallen hero Oshwin Andries.

Golden Arrows sealed a 2-1 victory over stubborn Pretoria Callies while later on the day Orlando Pirates beat All-Stars 2-0.

Sunday, 12 February

On Sunday, although they nearly gave away their 3-0 lead in the last ten minutes of the game, AmaZulu came out victorious over Tornado FC. Usuthu won 3-2 in what was a one-sided contest in their favour.

The Flying high side of Casric Stars whipped Umkhambathi 4-0 away from home while TS Galaxy beat Amavarara 4-2.

In the last match of the day, Cape Town City lost to Royal AM on penalties.
