Stellenbosch winger makes Keagan Dolly admission

Stellenbosch FC teen sensation Antonio Van Wyk has made a huge admission about Kaizer Chiefs star Keagan Dolly.

Van Wyk has revealed that he grew up looking up; idolising the Bafana Bafana international Dolly.

The 20-year-old, who has already established his name in the DStv Premiership has also described Dolly as his inspiration.

At Ajax Cape Town during the 2014/15 season, Dolly showed signs that he will be a great player one day.

And after two seasons at the Cape-side, he was snatched by Mamelodi Sundowns, where he showed his qualities in attack.

With the partnership of Khama Billiat and Leonardo Castro, he helped the club win several titles including the CAF Champions League and Premiership.

Dolly was later signed by Ligue 1 side Montpellier before returning the DStv Premiership to join Chiefs ahead of the 2021/22 season.

ANTÓNIO VAN WYK LOOKS UP TO KEAGAN DOLLY

“The player, I looked up to was Keagan Dolly when growing up. He was still at Ajax Cape Town [now called Cape Town Spurs],” Van Wyk told FARPost.

“Playing as a winger; inverted winger. Dolly has been my favourite since the young age of at least 12/13 years old.”

Like Dolly who has proved to be a winner, Van Wyk intends to win many trophies during his career with one club.

“What I intend to achieve in my career is to win titles, lots of them. I’m not the guy that focuses on individual awards but obviously it will be nice to achieve those goals,” added the youngster.

“I don’t want to become a player that moves every two season or three seasons to a new team. I just want to focus here.

Van Wyk and his side are preparing to face Chippa United when the league resumes on 30 December following a FIFA World Cup break.
